Flynn.
Thomas Flynn was born near Prentice, Ill., February 8, 1851, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Daisy McKee, Monday, April 19, 1926 aged 75 years, 2 months and 11 days.
He was married January 4, 1872, to Susan Yancy, and to this union two children were born, each one dying in infancy. Then on April 23, 1876, death came and took away his companion.
On October 11, 1876 he was married to Mrs. Rose Anna Flynn, and to them three children were born, Mrs. Daisy McKee, Alvin Flynn and Ira Flynn, of Waverly. Besides his children he is survived by eleven grand children; one brother, John, of Ashland; two sisters, Amanda Baldwin of Springfield, and Ellen Staton of Wichita, Kansas; two step children, Cass Flynn of Jacksonville and Lena Carpenter of Bartletsville, Okla.
He was converted and joined the M. E. Church, South, and remained a faithful member to the last.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the M.E. Church, South, Rev. C. W. Andrew, pastor of the M.E. Circuit, officiating, assisted by the pastor, Rev. R. V. Henry.
Interment was in East cemetery.
