NORTH MANCHESTER
LAKETON MAN DIED IN INDIANAPOLIS HOSPITAL
HENRY MOTE died Saturday afternoon at the Central hospital for insane at Indianapolis where he had been taken about five weeks ago. Death was caused by tubercular meningitis. The body was taken to the Wertenberger funeral home in Laketon where it will remain until the funeral Tuesday afternoon at 1;30 at the Wesleyan Methodist Church. Rev. Charles Porter will conduct the service and burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery at Huntington where Mrs. Mote is buried.
Mr. Mote was the son of Elam and Emma Mote and was born at Laketon August 20, 1868, being 66 years old at death. His mother died when he was two-years old and his father was later accidently killed.
He was reared in the home of his grand parents, Wesley and Martha Mote. He married Mrs. Louise Poorman who died eight years ago.
Surviving are a step son, Everett Poorman of Toledo, Ohio, and two uncles, (James) Riley Mote of Servia and George Alonzo Mote of Laketon. (News-Journal Feb. 11, 1935)
