He was born the son of Earl and Mabel (Stevens) House on November 28, 1928 in Caledonia, NY. He Married Anne Simpson on September 24, 1955. He graduated from the Eastman School of Music in 1957. He was a veteran of the Army during the Korean War where he served as a Special Services Director at Wiesbaden, Germany. He was a professional musician for the remainder of his life. He was a member of the United Church of Mount Morris. Charles was predeceased by his brother William.
