"Thelma J. Bureman departed this life on March 28, 2005, at the age of 87. She was a resident of Manor Care located in Springfield, Mo. She was born on July 22, 1917, to T. D. and Tessie Allen in Hooker, Okla. She graduated from Hooker High School and the completed her R.N degree at the Enid School of Nursing. She married the late Rev. Ralph E. Bureman and they had five children who were raised in St. Louis, Mo. She lived there until 1994 when she moved to Springfield. She is preceded in death by her parents stepfather her brother, Dewayne Hamlin and husband, Ralph E. Bureman. Her sons, their wives and families survive Thelma: Michael, Rita, Kevin, Jana and Sofia Bureman of Golden, Colo. David, Karen, Jeff, Jerome, Taryn and Kaley Bureman of Hampton, Va. Dr. James, Sherry, Chase and Kirsten Bureman of Springfield, Mo. Phillip, Lori, Emily, Audrey and Andrew Bureman of Olathe, Kan. and her daughter, Andrea Bureman of Lake of the Woods, Va. Also surviving her are brothers, Clyde Adams, his wife, Elesa, and Claude Adams, along with a sister, Jo Ellen Stevens and her husband, Robert. She has a sister-in-law, Athea Hamlin, wife of her late brother, Dewayne Hamlin. Thelma lived an active and full life. She loved her family and friends dearly. Her family invite all her Springfield friends to a ""Celebration of Life"" reception on Tuesday, April 5th from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Manor Care Assisted Living Dining Room at 2915 Fremont, Springfield, MO. Thelma's wish was to be cremated and have her ashes spread over her farmland in Oklahoma. No Flowers are requested."
