Borghild Christensen (1913-1994) who married Birger Emanuel Knutsen (1899-1962) and John Christensen who died as a young man. There was also a William Higginson (1913-?) living in the household in 1930 who was described as a sibling. His father was born in Connecticut and his mother in New Jersey. It is not clear how he fits into the household.

Marriage:
She married Henry Antone Dahl I (1915-1966) around 1936. They later lived on Booraem Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Harold Arne Knutsen, Sr. writes in 2013: "On February 1, 1918 Edith was born to Theodore Johan and Aagot Amalie Christensen in Jersey City, New Jersey. She was the younger of two daughters. In 1920, she, her sister Borghild, and her parents lived in Bellingham, Ward 2, Whatcom, Washington as stated in the census. With her father, mother and older sister, she took a trip on the S.S. Stavangerfjord to Norway in 1927. The record shows that by then they had moved back to Jersey City, New Jersey and resided at 2267 Boulevard. At age 12 in 1930 the census shows her still in New Jersey and with her parents and single. There is another member in the home, a William Higginson, possibly a boarder. In 1936 Edith married Henry Anton Dahl from Staten Island New York. She bore three sons Henry Jr. 1937, Karl Edward 1947 and Edward Peder 1960 Mom also had said she lost two children in the womb 1942 and 52 She always teased she couldn't carry girls. They lived in an apartment building on Bostwick Ave., Jersey City, New Jersey. Henry died in November of 1966 leaving her and two sons still living at home. Her sister Borghild whose husband had died moved in with her and her son Edward in 1969 and lived on Bergen ave. Jersey City. Not having an extensive education and a young child at home Edith took a job in the Good Will. She in time became the manager of one of there stores on Newark Ave., Jersey City. So Borghild could be closer to her daughter the family moved to Waymart, Pennsylvania in 1973. In 1980 Edith moved back to New Jersey to live with her son Edward. Borghild and daughter's family were moving to Tampa, Florida and she did not want to be that far away from her children. She died of heart failure on April 4, 1986 and is missed by all who knew her. She never had a bad word for anyone and though she never had much she was always on the sunny side of the street the glass was always half full and gave all she had. She was the glue that held the family together."
