Funeral service for Alice Hudson "Meme" Dupes, 74, of Decatur, will be Monday, March 25, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor George Sawyer officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Mrs. Dupes was born on August 22, 1938, in Florence, Alabama to the late William Hiliary Hudson and Alice Durbin Hudson. Mrs. Dupes went to Elementary School at Courtland and followed at Decatur High School. She went to Queens College in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was a Homemaker and a Pre-School Teacher. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God for 27 years where she taught Sunday School for over 20 years. She was an active volunteer with The Dream Center, Women's and Prison Ministry. She was a Mentor at Baptist Children's Home and a Voting Poll Volunteer. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William Ted Dupes Jr.; and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Ginny Dupes Wilson, Birmingham; son, John Vincent Dupes, Courtland; grandchildren, Hillary Wilson Green, Columbus, Ga., Justin Michael Dupes, Tioga, TX., Kathryn Leigh Wilson, Sheridan, WY., Lauren Dupes Constant, Weaver, NC., and Hunter Addison Dupes, Courtland, AL.; great-grandchildren, Jayden Cole Dupes, Whichita Falls, TX., Adlie Claire Green, Laney Mills Green, and Wilson Capps Green, all of Columbus, GA., Levi William Garret Dupes, Tioga, Tx., Grady Thomas Constant III, Weaverville, NC., and Raleigh Ted Dupes, Tioga, TX.; and brothers, William Hiliary Hudson Jr., Courtland, and Vincent Durbin Hudson, Sarasota, FL.

Pallbearers will be Billy Hudson, Justin Dupes, Michael Wilson, Tres Green, Will Greene, Jim Greene, Mac Greene, and Mike Hotchkiss. Honorary pallbearers will be Vince Hudson, Trey Hudson, Bobby Greene, John Davis, Dr. Jack Sewell, Bert Pippen, Bud Orr, Pastor Tony Willis, and Dr. Hugh Nabers.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of The Valley.
