Mr. Hooke was not laid to rest in a cemetery threatened by the Tocks Island Dam project, but his job was to document cemeteries that were, and attempt to notify next of kin for people interred in them. It is for this reason I list him as associated with the dam project.

The following is extracted from the Harrisburg Patriot News of August 6, 1995: Albert C . Hooke age 81 of 2149 Chestnut St., Camp Hill, died in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

He was a retired engineer from the Gannett Fleming Coudroy & Carpenter Corp. (Sic- the third name is Corddry.) A graduate of John Hopkins University and a member of its alumni association, he was also affiliated with the U.S. Commission of Large Damns, the Emanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of Baltimore, the Lowther Manor Lodge 781 F&AM, the Harrisburg Consistory, Beni Kedem Temple of Charleston, W.Va., the Green Briar 15 Knights of Templar of Lewisburg, W.Va., and the Hinton Chapter 8 Royal Arch Masons.

Surviving was his cousin, Barbara Sapak of Baltimore.

Services were held in his church, with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Baltimore. Arrangement were by Myers-Harner Funeral Home, Camp Hill.

Memorial contributions were suggested to the Helen O. Krause Animal Foundation, PO Box 311, Mechanicsburg 17055.
