KINGS MOUNTAIN ~ Norman Preston Beattie, 89, was a son of the late John William and Margaret Sellers Beattie. He was preceded in death by three sisters Vida Wise, Eva McGinnis, and Dorothy Beattie.
Mr. Beattie was a member of the Independent Baptist Tabernacle, former owner of Beattie's Shell Service and a retired farmer. Also, he was a member of the American Legion, the DAV, and a veteran of the US Army during WW II where he received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.
Interment in Independent Baptist Tabernacle Cemetery.
