Anna Mae (Straitt) Pease was born July 17, 1914 in Hanover and was the daughter of Charles Keeler and Anna Bell (Chase) Straitt. The family moved to Rockford in the early 1930s and Anna attended Rockford High School. She married Maurice Pease in August 1938 and six children were born to this union: Anna (Pease) Newquist, Betty Jean (Pease) Lundstrom, Sherry Ann (Pease) Davis, Linda K. Pease, Alan Richard Pease, and Barry Lynn Pease. Her husband Maurice died and she married Carl Bovee in 1959 and he died in 1960. Anna died July 24, 1983 in Rockford and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
