Roy Carroll Lilly, Sr., 68 of 836 Wellfield Road, Elizabeth City, NC died Monday, March 18, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center. A native of Pasquotank County, he was the son of the late Roy Lilly and Carrie Lilly Lilly and the widower of Judy Trueblood Lilly. He was a foreman for IXL Cabinet Manufacturing Company, a member of Berea Baptist Church and Southside Hunting Club.
He is survived by a daughter, Paige Lilly Barco and husband Paul of Shawboro, NC; two sons, Roy Carroll Lilly, Jr., of Brooklyn, NY and Andrew Wayne Lilly of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters, Nina Jackson of Elizabeth City, NC and Carolyn Brickhouse of Camden, NC; two brothers, Bill Lilly and Frank Lilly both of Elizabeth City, NC; and a granddaughter, Aria Barco. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Forrest Lilly.
A funeral service will be Friday, March 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Greenway officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the lobby of the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
