Military Record: entered VMI on Jan. 22, 1864 as a Private in D Company; fought with Corps of Cadets at New Market where he was Wounded in Action (leg); briefly with Corps at Richmond in the early fall of 1864, but left when academic work resumed; appointed Cadet in the Confederate Army from the 5th Congressional District of Virginia on March 25, 1865; war ended before he could report for duty. Post War Career: At Hampden-Sydney College in 1867; moved to Texas in 1884; farmer. Career: Farmer. Died- October 12, 1929
