Mrs. Chas. Nieman

Mrs. Charles Nieman died at her home in Earlville Saturday at noon. She was in failing health for the past two years and for several months was confined to her bed. She was 36 years of age and is survived by her husband, Charles Nieman, one daughter, Alma, 6 years old, her mother, Mrs. Chris Bierbaum of Garnavillo, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. Herman Bunker of Manley, Iowa.

The funeral services were held at the Lutheran church on Tuesday morning and burial made in Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Newman was a devout member of the Lutheran church and was held in the highest esteem by a large circle of friends
who sympathized with the family in their bereavement.

Manchester Democrat, Manchester, Iowa, January 3, 1912

I think the year of birth on the gravestone says 1875 (instead of 1873) which would match her age at death in the obit (36) better as well as the 1885 census that lists her as "Minna," the youngest child in the family at then age 9.
