Eucha, OK - Wallace Clarence "Wally Eastman, 84, died Saturday, March 18, 2007 at the Claremore Veterans Center, Claremore, Oklahoma.

Wally was born August 18, 1922 at Escondido, California to George and Lydia Eastman. He grew up in southern California and graduated from Hemet High School. He married Mary Elizabeth "Betty Spohn on June 12, 1942 at San Jacinto, California. The Eastmans came to the Eucha area in 1978 from Pauma Valley, California, where he was very active in the Church and community. He was a member of Jay Bible Church, Jay, Oklahoma.

Wally was a decorated WWII veteran who served in the 65th and103rd Infantries, specializing in heavy weapons. After the war, he worked as a heavy equipment Engineer until he retired in 1977.

Survivors are his son, W.C. "Bud Eastman of Twin Falls, Idaho and Betty Sue Eastman of Pauma Valley, California; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Betty Eastman, his spouse of 62 years, his parents, four brothers and five sisters preceded Wally in death.

Funeral service will be a 2 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, with interment at Eucha White Cemetery, under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home.
