Daniel CRISSMAN was born 8/17/1784 in Pipe Creek Settlement, Frederick County, MD, the son of Johann Friedrich Crössman Sr (1727-1826; from Ederstadt, Germany) and Elizabeth (HARTSOCK) CRISSMAN. He married Catherine FLECK (10/26/1787 - 9/18/1874) on August 26, 1805. She was the daughter of George & Anna Maria "Mollie" (WEEKS) FLECK.
