Ruth Birckett was the daughter of John Birckett and Mary Ann Edge. She married Oscar Elias Belsher on May 10, 1891 in Randolph County, Missouri.
"Mrs. Ruth Belsher, 89, died at 1:25 o'clock this morning at the family home near Darksville.
Surviving are two sons, Thurman Belsher of the home and Lloyd Belsher of near Darksville; a sister, Mrs. Mary D. Wells of Denver; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her husband, Oscar Belsher, died in 1924.
The body is at Patton Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery." Moberly Monitor-Index, March 5, 1955
