She is survived by her husband, Charles G. Hardy of the home; a daughter, Mary Ann Gade of El Cerrito, California; a brother, Ret. Col. Stephen Akers of El Paso; a sister, Mrs. Gene (Bonnie) Dysart of Kansas City, Mo.; and a grandson, Bruce Dunfee of Hatch, New Mexico; and two great-grandchildren.
An El Paso resident since 1970, she was a noted toastmistress and musical entertainer for many civic and social organizations, as well as contributing many hours entertaining at various El Paso retirement centers. She was a member of the Skyline Baptist Church, the Hospitality Club of El Paso, Newcomers East Club, the Democratic Party of El Paso County, Northeast Civic Association, El Paso Mountain Lions Club and a charter member of the Kiwanis Club of Northeast El Paso and the Kiwaniann's Auxiliary.
