Charles was the sixth child of William McClintock Pierson and Lucinda Helber. He was married Aug. 21, 1910 to Etta May Park (dau of Robert C Park and Hattie Hoskinson). They had four sons, Walter Brice Pierson, Robert William Pierson, Harry Oscar Pierson and Louis Wayne Pierson (died in infancy). He was killed while working at the No. 5 mine in Murray City on October 28, 1930.
