The voyage from Ireland to Canada by ship in the 1830's took about 9 weeks

DONNELLY, Robert was born at Kilcronaghan Parish, Village of Tobermore, Londonderry County, Northern Ireland to Henry and Sally (Rane) Donnelly on March 15 1816 (According to the 1901 Canada census BUT if you go by the 1852 census he was born in 1822.****

He died on 16 May 1902 Farran's Point, (See Note Below) Osnabruck Twp. Ontario.
Death Reg:
DONNOLLY Robert Osnabruck Twp 16-May-1902 #025039-02

Henry & Sally had 5 children:
Robert Donnelly (1816 - 1902)
Nancy Donnelly Cunningham (1817 - 1861)*
Thomas Donnelly (1825 - 1895)*
Mary Donnelly McCary (1827 - 1902)*
Betsy Donnelly
NOTE:
The capital of Northern Ireland is Belfast city, in the Province of ULSTER and it played its part in making maritime history as the birthplace of the world's most famous ship: the Titanic.
The province contains counties Antrim, Armagh, Cavan, Donegal, Down, Fermanagh, Londonderry, Monaghan and Tyrone.

NOTE: The 1852 census for Robert DONNELY he is age 30 which makes his birth 1822 but most documents state 1816
NOTE: The 1871 census records Robert's birth year as 1815 and the surname there is spelled 'DONLEY'

Robert immigrated to Canada before 1848 but arrival date is uncertain. He married Lucinda Thompson from Gallingertown Ontario

NOTE: In the 1852 census Robert & Lucinda's surname was spelled 'DONNELY' and they were living in Williamsburg Township of Ontario in the County of Dundas with Robert's father, Henry and he and Lucinda's first child, Samuel.
They eventually moved to Farran's Point, Ontario in Stormont County and the Township of Osnabruck.

NOTE:
Farran's Point is an underwater ghost town in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is one of Ontario's Lost Villages, permanently flooded.

Families and businesses in Farran's Point were moved to the new town of Ingleside

It is the birthplace of NHL hall of famer Cy Denneny.

NOTE:I do not know the name of the Cemetery where Robert & Lucinda's remains were buried. Because they died in Farran's Point they were probably buried there in the Protestant Cemetery. When the Hydro began the construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway Power Project some tombstones were relocated to the new Cemetery named , Saint Lawrence Valley Cemetery & in some instances tags were made to identify a burial but these were often stolen from the St. Lawrence Valley Union Cemetery. Other tombstone were left to be submerged along with the towns. Back in 2001 I went through the burial records in the office at St. Lawrence Valley Union Cemetery . Although I found some of my ancestors in their records my Great Grandparents were not among them.
