Geraldine Jerry Butau, 81, Princeton, died Saturday, August 27th at the Elim Care & Rehab Center, Princeton. Geraldine Beyer was born on November 29, 1929 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, daughter of William and Constance (Knoblauch) Beyer. She grew up and was educated in Minneapolis, graduating from Vocational High School in downtown. She was united in marriage with Fred "Jack" Butau on April 29, 1949.

They lived a number of places in the metro area, including Brooklyn Park at the time of Jacks death in January of 1999. Jerry enjoyed Bingo and going to the casino, bowling and fishing, including smelting. She is survived by a two daughters and three sons: Gloria (Carl) Bowerman of Andover, Mike Butau of Champlin, Coleen (Jerry) Kleinsschmidt of Pillager, Larry (Linda) Butau of Zimmerman and Randy (Dawn) Butau of Zimmerman; fourteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren;

Four sisters and two brothers: Marie Kloster of Robbinsdale, Phyllis Dorothy (Beyer) (Kenneth) Skogen, of Elk River, Darlene Doris (Beyer) Mohr of Crystal, Marlene Dorothy (Beyer) Kelch,(Mrs. Karl Kermit Kelch) of Sandstone, Robert (Barb) Beyer, of Albertville and James (Marlene) Beyer, of New Hope.

She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Constace Beyer; her husband: Jack; three brothers and a sister: William,Ken and, Everett Beyer and Joyce (Beyer) Johnson, her daughter: Sue Spence and her husband: Bill Spence. Visitation will be from Noon to 1 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Service: 1 PM, Thursday, September 1st at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton, Minnesota.
