Heaven has received a very special angel. Nancy Lou Henard passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2005 after a very long illness and a very courageous battle. After spending three months in a rehabilitation hospital, she returned home to celebrate Easter with her family. What we did not realize is that she was going to celebrate Easter with her very dear Lord and Saviour and the family members that have gone before her. She had a wonderful life and enjoyed sharing it with each member of her family, especially her children, Debbie and Allen, and grandchildren, Amy and Austin. She fought a long hard battle with multiple sicknesses but managed to come back and enjoy a few more years each time. This time was not to be, the Lord must have needed her more. Amazingly enough, one of her favorite things to see was a blanket of snow on the ground. Now in Texas, it doesn't snow very often, if at all, but during the night, after she passed on to her new life, snow covered the ground as everyone woke from a very hard night. Her children like to think that this was her way of saying, "I'm here, and everything is OK." Odd huh, snow on Easter morning. What a beautiful sight!

She is survived by her children, Debbie Kidwell and husband Jimmy, Allen Henard and wife Angela, grandchildren, Aaron, Janet, Amy and Austin. Also, sisters Maxine Yeats and Sharon Dixon, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was predeceased in death by her husband Ed Henard, parents, Orville and Ona Baker, and sisters Barbara "Bob" Long and Peggy "Susie" Stephens.
The funeral service will be March 30, 2005 at Willow Park Church in Willow Park, Texas. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Weatherford, Texas.
