Etta Lucille York Rippy, 92, passed away after a short illness on March 15, 2013. She was the daughter of the late James Thomas York and Emma Boone York.
She is survived by a daughter Merle Rippy Downs, Harold (Hal) Lee Rippy Jr., Jill Rippy Watts and her husband Duc, and predeceased by a daughter Frances Rippy Snead. She is also survived by her sister Veleria York and her daughter-in-law Diane Boggs Rippy, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A family graveside service will be held on March 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Southern Baptist Church in Rutherfordton, NC.
