Dorothy Esther Neufeld was the youngest of four children born to Jacob Henry Neufeld and Helena Reimer.
She married Edward A. Ediger on July 11, 1936 in Goessel, Kansas. They were the parents of four children. One son, Floyd Dale died at 10 days old. Dorothy and Ed were married over 56 years before her death just 6 days after her 77th birthday.

Dorothy E. Ediger, 77, died Dec. 29, 1992, at the Bethesda Home, Goessel.
She was born Dec. 23, 1915, at Peabody, the daughter of Jacob H. and Helena Reimer Neufeld. A Goessel resident, formerly of Moundridge, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of Tabor Mennonite Church, Goessel.
On June 17, 1937, she married Edward Ediger at Goessel. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Stan, Denver, and Lee, Moundridge; a daughter Imogene "Gene" Cole, Moundridge; two sisters, Hedwig Schmidt and Hilda Friesen, both of Newton; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday at the Tabor Mennonite Church, Goessel, with Revs. Ray and Brenda Martin Hurst presiding. Burial was in the Tabor Cemetery, Goessel.
