Patricia A. (Vining) Summers, 81, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at St. Anne Home and Retirement Community. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Patricia worked at Fort Wayne National Bank for 21 years and retired in 1997 from the Controller Department, she also was a Teacher Assistant for the 5th grade at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School for 10 years, retiring in June 1, 2007. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Kindred Hearts Club with her co workers from Fort Wayne National Bank, International Harvester Lunch Bunch. s. Surviving are her daughters, Sherry (Joseph) Venderley of Fort Wayne, Kathleen (Kenneth) Schlatter of New Haven, grandchildren, Timothy, Anne and Melanie Venderley, Rusty, Jeremy, Teala and Tianna Schlatter, Mike Summers, Billy Summers, Michelle Summers, Kristi Knapp, 4 great grandchildren, and brother, William (Dee) Vining of Cincinnati, OH. Patricia was preceded in death by parents, William and Irene Vining, husband, W. Hoyt Summers, and sister, Joyce Vining. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Friday March 22, 2013, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with calling one hour prior, Msgr John N. Suelzer officiating. Calling also Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 pm with a Vigil Service at 4:30 pm at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the St. Charles Catholic School Tuition Assistance, American Heart Association, Masses, or American Lung Association.
