Jesup- Fletcher Bishop, 81, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 at his residence, under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. Mr. Bishop was born in Islandton S.C. on October 27, 1929. to Jeter Bishop and Fannie Wiggins Bishop. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. the Golden Rulers Sunday School Class, the Jesup Lodge# 112 FR.& A.M. and a honorary member of the Screven Lodge#368 F.&A.M. He retired from CSX afetr 38 years and served two years in the Army during the Koran war. He was preceded in death by his son, Hal Bishop, his parents Jeter and Fannie Bishop, his brothers, Cecil Bishop, Edward Bishop, J. Warren Bishop, and Reynold Bishop.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 10, 2011 from 1-3 P.M. at the First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 10, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church.
