A. Lewis Secrest was born and reared at Buffalo. He married Mahala Archer, of Sarahsville. Lewis was a carpenter and they made their home in Senecaville, Ohio. He died very suddenly in 1915, and his wife had preceded him in death. One daughter was born to them, Gertrude Secrest. Gertrude was reared at Senecaville, Ohio, and married Halley Thompson Kaho, also of Senecaville.
