Mrs. Ola Smith Dies At Morton
MORTON (Special)--Mrs. Ola Rebecca Smith, 93, a longtime resident of the Acuff community near Lubbock, died at 12:30 p.m. Friday in the Cochran Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Roosevelt Baptist Church with the Rev. Gayler Barlett of Spring Valley, Calif., officiating. Burial will be in the Slaton Cemetery under the direction of Singleton Funeral Home.
The body will be at Franklin-Bartley funeral Home in Lubbock from noon today until 10 a.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Smith, a native of Frost, had lived in Morton six years.
Survivors include four sons, George of Cresson, Martin of Forth Worth, Melvin of Weatherford and C. A. of Portland, Ore.; four daughters, Mrs. A. R. McCallister of Idalou, Mrs. C. R. Seagler of Enochs, Mrs. Flevoy Eubanks of Odessa and Mrs. Gayler Bartlett of Spring Valley, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Cora Cagle of Kansas; three brothers, Ed Burton of Lawton, Okla., Joe Burtn of Yuba City, Calif., and Bernard Burton of Wanette, Okla.; 23 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
