Born August 15, 1931, in Buladean, NC, she was a daughter of the late Pansy Ethel (Green) and David Hughes.
Anna retired from South Western school district after serving 12 years as a bus driver.
She also enjoyed helping where she could with other jobs, Anna spent 10 years being an aide for the Brethren Home. She especially loved going on outings with family and friends.
A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she cherished spending time with her family.
Mrs. Schuler is survived by two children; a daughter, Sandra Lee Kinneman, of Hanover, and a son, Steven Willis Schuler of, East Berlin; five siblings; sisters, Betty Jo "BJ" Gastley, Daisy M. Kump, of Hanover, brothers, Carrol "Manny" Hughes, of Hanover, Samuel D. Hughes of Whitehall, PA, and Larry E. Hughes of New Oxford; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren, with the eleventh grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Leland E. Hughes.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Schuler will be held at 10 a.m., March 20, 2013, at the Wetzel Funeral Home, Hanover, with Rev. Gerald Dunlap officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.
