- Joseph Wooten "Joe" Adams , 75, formerly of Garner, died Saturday at his residence. An avid fisherman, Mr. Adams sold vegetables, many of which were grown in his own garden, from several locations in the Garner area.

Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Garner.

Burial, Montlawn Memorial Park.

He s survived by his wife, Chris- tine Young Adams ; a daughter, Kathy Adams Pierce and her husband Glenn Pierce of Apex; a sister, Ethel A. Murray of Clayton; a grand- daughter, Kelli Suzanne Pierce of Raleigh; grandsons, Donald Edward Pierce and his wife, Sonia Lawrence Pierce, Christopher Joseph Pierce and his wife, Susan Averette Pierce, and Ashley Layne Pierce, all of Apex; a great-granddaughter, Victoria Lane Pierce.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
