A funeral service was conducted in the Baird Funeral Home, Wayland, Sunday for Addison G. Beman, 75, of Springwater who died in his home on Mill St. Thursday (Oct. 10, 1968) following a long illness.
A native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Beman was a retired Foster Wheeler Corp. employe in Dansville.
He was a World War I veteran. He was one of the founders of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Wayland when it was organized in 1929.
Surviving are his wife, Laura Canedy Beman; four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Lawrence of Springwater, Mrs. Harriett Gibbous of Union Springs, Mrs. Dorothy Mosher of Wayland, and Mrs. Letha Reed of Jamestown; a son, Addrian Beman of Scottsville; a sister, Mrs. E. K. Peasley of Erie, Pa.; two brothers, Fred Beman of Hornell and Philip of Plant City, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Mount Vernon Evergreen Cemetery, Springwater. (GCE, October 17, 1968, p1)
