Funeral services for Mr. Norman K. Watson were held on Monday, May 12, 2008, at 1:00p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Interment followed the services at Greenwood Cemetery. Bro Jimmy Petty officiated.
Mr. Watson passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at his residence near Kirvin. He was born to Basil Kinner and Ruby Long Watson on April 6, 1928 in San Antonio. He served in U.S. Army just after WWII in Japan. Mr. Watson was an Engineer for Burlington Northern – Rock Island Railroad in Teague for many years until his retirement. He had lived in the Teague area for over sixty-six years. He loved his kids and grandkids very much and was a true family man. He is survived by his wife of over twenty-two years, Elsie Watson of Kirvin; two sons, Norman Patrick Watson of Kirvin and William Brady Watson of Corsicana; his grandchildren that he raised as his children, Catherine Ann Watson of Wortham, Christina Nan Watson & fiance’ Randy Grimes of Teague, Micca Patrece Watson of Teague, and Matthew Joseph Kenner Watson & wife Jennifer of Wortham; seven great-grandchildren, Eden Richardson, Libby Watson, Abbie Adcock, Shalee Watson, Kenner Rope Watson, Kennedy Watson, and Triston Anderton; one brother, David Watson & wife Pat of Village Mills; one sister, Elouise Watson York & husband Bradford of Teague; numerous other relatives and friends. Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Becky Jane Watson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Pineywoods Hospice, P.O. Box 1743, Lufkin, TX 75902
