Anthony J. Kucan, 87, of Brighton Heights, formerly of Crafton Heights, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013. He was the beloved father of Marlene (Brian) Wiegand; grandfather of Breanna, Marissa and Colin Wiegand; son of the late Joseph Kucan and Elizabeth Ribnicky; former husband of the late Dolores Gilmartin; brother of the late Sister Mary "Henrietta" Kucan, OSF, Joseph Kucan, Ann Bachar, Margaret Napolitana and George Kucan; also survived by nieces, Elaine Hostovich, Dolly Pohle, Margie Moore, Nancy Devlin and Betty Sims. He was a World War II Army veteran of the 121st. Infantry and had received the Purple Heart. He was a member of Jednota and a devoted Catholic. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. http://www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
