Harland D. Mossbarger, 83, of Delaware, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 14, 2013 at Mount Carmel West Hospital, Columbus.

He was born March 20, 1929 in DeGraff, Ohio to Herbert and Nena (Glaze) Mossbarger.

He turned his love of automobiles and racing into a fulltime vocation. First working at Midwest Auto and then sharing that love with his son through a family partnership they shared working together for over 20 years.

He was also a member of the Cornerstone Church of Plain City.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Christine (Frye); son, Terry (Linda) Mossbarger of Delaware; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dale, and a half-sister Glenna.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 18 from 4-8 p.m. at the SNYDER-RODMAN FUNERAL CENTER, 1510 W. William Street at Vallleyside Drive, Delaware. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at 1 p.m. at the Cornerstone Church, 8280 Rickard Road (at St. Rt. 42), Plain City, Ohio with Rev. Phil Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Ostrander. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Mt. Carmel West Hospital, 6150 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43213, where he received excellent care over the past few weeks. The Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center is honored to serve the Mossbarger family.
