School Head Is Found Dead Saturday

Glouster - Samuel Vickroy, age 43, was found dead in the barn at his home, between Ringgold and Malta Saturday. Examination disclosed that a gunshot wound through the heart had caused his death. He had left he house a short time before with a gun, stating that he was going to shoot crows, later the body was found in the basement of the barn. It was stated that he had been in poor health for some time and that an examination by a physician had disclosed that he was suffering from an advanced case of Bright's Disease. The coroner's verdict was death by accidental shooting. He was a graduate of Glouster High School and of Ohio University.
His father, the late Thomas H. Vickroy, died 13 years ago. His mother, Mrs. Nancy Vickroy, his wife and two children, Nancy and Harold, survived him in death.
Funeral will be held at the home, Tuesday at 3 p.m., with burial at Maplewood Cemetery.
