Funeral services for Mary Ellen Brown Simmons, 67, of Lebanon, Tenn., will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating, with interment in Bethsadia Cemetery.
Funeral services in Lebanon, Tenn., will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home, the Rev. Jonas Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Ms. Simmons passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at her residence. She was born on Jan. 23, 1940, in Cullman County to Walter and Aubrie Aderhold Brown. She retired from the Robert J. Young Company in Nashville, Tenn., with 26 years in telemarketing. She was a member of the College Heights Baptist Church in Gallatin, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her three children, L. Rene Clark and Cheryl A. Jordan, both of Lebanon, and Darryl Simmons of Cullman; three grandchildren, Derrick (Jessica) Jordan of Lebanon, Brandon (Danielle) Clark of Nashville and Scott Simmons of Cullman; three great-grandchildren, Jamie Marie, Johanna Michele and Jeorjia Mae Jordan; two sisters, Sue Carol Thomas of Tuscaloosa and Vickie (Donnie) Giles of Nashville; and two brothers, Walter Neal (Edna) Brown of Cary, N.C., and Larry Joe (Sandra) Brown of Lebanon.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Cullman Funeral Home.
