PONTOTOC – Lena Irene Brown Gregory, 93, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Sunshine Nursing Home. She loved her home, family, church family, gardening and music. Cooking, sewing and quilting were her favorite activities.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McGregor's Chapel with Bro. Steve Nichols and Bro. Johnny Cook officiating. Burial will be in Jernigan Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include four children, Carolyn Niblett of LaPlace, La., Curtis (Seretha) Gregory and Martha (Donald) Gullett of Pontotoc, and Doris (Andy) Vosburgh of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Gregory Lynn Niblett, Michael Anthony Niblett, Janet Faye Platt, Beth Lynn Govier, Carl Wesley Gregory, Donald Ryan Gullett and Christopher Lee Gullett; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Cleo Gregory; one granddaughter, Lena Nell Gullett; and three brothers, Silas, James Jr. and Edward Brown.
Pallbearers will be Mike Montgomery, Okee McDonald, Rodney Akers, Delane McBord, Edward Robins and Johnny Holloway.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
