Arlene J. Mason, age 80, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at her home. Arlene had lived in Rose City for all of her life. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, bowling and playing euchre.

Arlene is survived by her children Rodney (Polly) Mason of Rose City, Donna (Paul) Fritz of West Branch, Gloria (Randy) Neubecker of Rose City, Randy (Hilary) Mason of Rose City and Nancy (Robert) Petree of Clare, 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother Lyle (Mary Lou) Cornman of Tawas and Kingman, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Mason, her son James Mason, her parents Harold and Clara Cornman and her brother Walter Cornman.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will begin on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 2-9 p.m. On Saturday, the visitation will begin at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Jody Coon will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose City Cemetery.
