He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Upon return, Otis spent time as a driver for Faygo before working in the maintenance department at The University of Michigan.
Otis was a loving family man who had many interests. He spent time with his daughters helping with 4-H and showing horses; traveling and attending both Scottish and Indian festivals. At home Otis loved his pets, watching westerns, and puttering in his work shop.
He is survived by his fiancé Ginger Cornell of Bellevue; daughters Cindy (Dave) Harr of Bellevue, and Rebecca Armstrong of Charlotte; grandson Sean Harr of Bellevue; niece Ann DuBois of New York.
Otis was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 44 years Mary (Isaacson) Armstrong; brother Frank Armstrong; sister Georgia Armstrong.
A committal service with military honors took place Friday, March 15, 2013.
