"Mr. Joe Kyrus Banks, 74
Services for Mr. Joe Kyrus Banks, 74, of the Brushy Comminity, who died on Monday, December 2, 1996 at his home, were held on Wdnesday, December 4 at McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville.
The service was conducted by Gerry Parker, and was followed by burial in Milan Cemetery.
A native of Brushy, Mr. Banks was the husband of Onetta Ruth Daniel Banks, and the son of the late Joel Thomas and Ida Horner Banks. He was a control operator at Monsanto, a veteran of the U.S. Army who served in WW II and a member of the Brushy Church of Christ, where he was an elder.
In addition to his wife he leaves his daughter, Dorothy Gay of Hohenwald; two sons, Tim J, Banks of Nashville and Terry Banks of Centerville; his sister, Edna Quillen of Hohenwald, seven grandchildren and one great- grandchild." (end transcription - hmh)
