Emma Valate Erickson Anderson, age 95, died on March 12, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born on July 22, 1917 in Lyman, Wyoming to Oscar and Hattie Erickson.

She married John B. Anderson on August 30, 1935 in the Logan LDS Temple.

She was an avid quilter and an accomplished seamstress. She worked as a tailor for 35 years. She made the world's best rolls. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by sons, DJ (Pat), Roy (Jennifer), Ted (Cherie), son-in-law Rod Madsen (Beth); 27 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband John, daughter Janice and son Robert.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16 at 11:00 am at Whitehall LDS Ward, 3985 South 3200 West.

Friends may call Friday evening 6-8 pm at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah or at 10:00 am on Saturday at the church.

Interment at Valley View Memorial Park.
