CHARLES A. BURNS
GOODLAND -- Charles A. Burns, 89, who resided with his brother, Mert Burns, died at 1:45 p.m. Friday in Twin Lakes Nursing Home, Monticello, where he had been a patient since September.
Born in Jasper County, he resided in Goodland community many years. He was a retired farmer and member of the Presbyterian Church.
He was married to Artie Clark. She died in 1927.
Surviving with the brother are one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Ogle of Monticello; one sister, Mrs. Lulu Nicely of Goodland; and another brother, Lloyd Burns of Wolcott.
