Private services were held for Thomas A. "Teets" Cushey, 81, of Venetia, who died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospitals-Canonsburg. He was born August 15, 1916, in Hackett, a son of Isaiah and Jeanette Lytle Cushey. Mr. Cushey was a lifelong resident of the Venetia-Finleyville area and was Protestant. He formerly owned and operated Cushey Brothers Beer Distributor in Hackett and retired from Consolidated Coal Co., Montour 4 Mine. Mr. Cushey was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Hoffman Cushey, with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage July 27, 1997; two daughters, Linda Levandosky of Finleyville and Deborah Kriebel of Venetia; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Dave Cushey of Venetia; and four sisters, Ethel Pemberton and Gail Dobash, both of Venetia, Lorraine Fink of Buffalo, N.Y., and Nellie Hugh of Conn. Deceased are a son, Aaron "Pete" Cushey; four brothers, John, Charles, James and Raymond Cushey; and four sisters, Mary Vickers, Ann Derrico, Eunice Cushey and Jeanette Hatfield.
