Anna S. Barkdoll, 82, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at her home.
Born June 13, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Chaney Shenebeck.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Barkdoll.
She was a former employee of Fairchild and a homemaker.
She was a member of Christ Reform Church.
She was a member of Lions Club.
She is survived by
two sons,
Robert Barkdoll of Clear Spring and
Samuel Barkdoll of Frederick, Md.;
two stepdaughters,
Peggy Palmer of Williamsport and
Joyce Sperry of Hancock;
a stepson, George Barkdoll of Hagerstown;
four sisters,
Betty Sword,
Dorothy Crampton and
Faye Metz, all of Hagerstown, and
Florence Rittman of Trenton, N.J.;
a brother, Guy Shenebeck of Apollo Beach, Fla.;
step-grandchildren; and
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by
a brother, Clarence Shenebeck.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown. The Rev. Don R. Stevenson will officiate. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Aspiring to Serve Fund, c/o Christ Reform Church, 130 W. Franklin St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
