Funeral services for Marion Aline Iles McBryde, 82, of Silsbee, Texas, will be 1:00 pm Friday, March 15, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery.

Mrs. McBryde died March 11, 2013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

Aline was preceded in death by her husband, Horace McBryde, father George Ross Iles, mother Myrtle Morrison Iles, sister Annie Maxine Read, brother George Ross Iles Jr., niece Linda Anne Windham and step-son Kenneth McBryde.

She is survived by her great niece and nephew, Jennifer St. Cyr and Chris Windham one grandson Jason; step-son David; great grandson Ethan.

Aline never gave birth to any children, yet she was a mother to many. Her door was always open during good times and bad times, with no questions asked. She provided the comfort and stability that her family and friends needed to pull through each of their life's crisis. The greatest of these bonds were with her niece and nephew, Jennifer and Chris Windham for whom she guided with much love and care. She will be missed but her legacy of kindness and strength will live forever in the hearts of her family and friends.

A native of Merryville, Louisiana, Aline was a long time resident of Silsbee, Texas. She was born as the Great Depression started and was a teen through WWII. She never accumulated monetary wealth, but never realized it because her treasure was her family and friends.

She was married twice to Horace. After they were married, Horace served in the Navy and separation ended the marriage. When Horace retired from the Navy, they remarried.

Aline worked for Cravens Insurance for 30 years and was voted "1969-1970 Woman of the Year" by the Chamber of Commerce. After working for many years as an office professional, Aline enjoyed her new role as the wife of a retired Navy man working for NASA at its peak. She also enjoyed new friends, fishing, camping and gardening and her one woman pet dog, Andy.
