GARWOOD — Mrs. Lucinda Kidd Froat, 77, wife of William T. Froat of 330 Willow avenue, died Saturday in her home after a long illness.

Born in Elizabeth, Mrs. Froat was the daughter of the late John H. and Elizabeth Marsh Kidd and had resided here for 48 years. She was a member of the Elizabeth Branch 106, Sons and Daughters of Liberty.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jeanette Chapman of New York City, and Mrs. Sarah L. Carlino and Mrs. Helen P. Gilbertson of Garwood; two sons, Frank J. and Benjamin T. of this borough; four sisters, Mrs. Susan Tyson of Port Washington, N. Y., Mrs. Josephine Edmundson of New York and Mrs. Ida Barry and Mrs. Julia Farin of Elizabeth; a brother, John H. Kidd of New York City; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Dooley Funeral Home, Cranford with Rev. Frank H. Carthy, pastor of Trinity Episcopal Church, Cranford, officiating. Interment was in the family plot in Rahway Cemetery.
