Jesse Puterbaugh of 22 miles southwest of Texhoma, one of the early settlers of this country, died at his home Monday night at 12:00 o'clock, after undergoing a prolonged illness caused by cancer of the stomach. A few weeks ago Mr. Puterbaugh was taken to Dalhart with hopes of regaining his health, but his case seemed to be incurable.
