FRANK LEONARD DIES.
Frank A. Leonard, 920 Constitution St., an employe of the Kansas Power and Light Company for 35 years before he retired, died this morning in Newman Memorial County Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel. They will be conducted by the Rev. Jack T. Barron, pastor of the First Christian Church. Graveside services in Memorial Lawn Cemetery will be conducted by Emporia Masonic Lodge 12, A.F. and A.M.
Mr. Leonard was born Feb. 12th, 1891, in Ottawa, the son of Calvin T. and Mary Gibson Leonard. He was married on April 2nd, 1916, in Yates Center, to Myra C. Andreas, who died Feb. 7th, 1966, and he was married on April 16th, 1969, in Cottonwood Falls, to Lulu Austenfeld. Mr. Leonard was a member of the Emporia Masonic Lodge, Council, Chapter and Commandery; Miriam Chapter 14, Order of the Eastern Star, the local chapter of American War Dads and the local chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons. He was preceded in death by his first wife, one son, William, and one daughter, Mary Ida McIlvan. He is survived by his second wife, of the home; one son, Gene, of 218 South East St.; one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Madge) Prater, Pleasant Hill, Mo.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
