Mr. William James "Jim" Adair passed away on March 7, 2013 at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. Mr. Adair was a graduate of Americus High School and Georgia Southwestern College. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. After his service in the Air Force he was employed by the Federal Government where he spent his entire working career. He retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, GA., where he was head of Metrology, after 37 years and one month of service. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and had served as a Deacon and in several areas of ministry, including the senior adults and the music program. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Hill Adair, Albany; his parents, Rev. Jessie and Mrs. Ruby Jones Adair of Americus; a brother, T. J. Adair of Americus; sisters Hazel Lane of Reynolds and Jewell James of Sylvester; and nephew Tommy Adair of Snellville.
