Alexander N. Rogers, age 59 years, died yesterday at a local hospital following an illness of three months. Mr. Rogers was born in Pueblo and resided here all of his life. For many years he was in the cattle and farming business but of late has been connected with the C.R.& I. company. He was a man who was held in high esteem by all that knew him and his many friends will regret to learn of his death. He was a member of the Baptist church and the Pioneers Association. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. May Penn, a son Frederick J. Rogers, and two grandchildren, all of Pueblo. One brother John L. Rogers of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bartels, of Pueblo; Mrs. Candee, Half Moon Bay, Calif; and Mrs. Mabel Kitchen of Abasrokee, Mont. The funeral will take place Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the funeral chapel of T.G. McCarthy & Sons Inc. Rev. C. Aelin Heydon, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
