She was the daughter of James M. & Mary E. (Scott) Ballinger.

She married first James Dupree, 11 Feb 1903, Lamar County, Texas. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1907. He became the manager of a Cotton Seed Oil Company. James died here in 1917. He was returned to Texas for burial.

She married second George Sohlberg in 1921. He established the Acme Flour Mill when he came to Oklahoma City in 1894. With this marriage she enjoyed a leading roll in the local society and took her place as a leader.

THE OKLAHOMAN, Sat, Dec 29, 1945: Mrs G. G. Sohlberg dies at home here--Mrs Stella Sohlberg, 66, city social and club leader, and wife of George G Sohlberg, pioneer city business man, died late Friday night at her home, 411 NW 14, of a heart ailment following a short illness.

Mrs Sohlberg long had been a member of First Lutheran Church, the Colonial Dames of America, and the Daughters of the American Revolution, and participated in other club and civic activities.
Services will be announced by Street & Draper funeral home.
