Waverly E Britt, 78, of Marshall Highway, Rt 1, Asheville, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at his home.
He was a retired businessman and owner of the Gold View Motor Court.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs Virgie Lee Harris Britt; two daughters, Mrs June Hodges of Asheville and Mrs Vivian Kirkland of Franklin; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday in the chapel of West Funeral Home, Weaverville.
The Revs Walter Rogers and Luther Horne will officiate. Burial will b in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
Pallbearers will be Charles and Dickie Sevier, George Williams, P P Dillingham, Troy Aiken, Clarence Harris, Glenn Parris and Jack Bagwell.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
